ReplyDeleteThis 2009 Gran Familia Rueda is a pale gold color, and brings notes of tropical fruits like mango and papaya on the nose. On the palate this wine is dry with a medium acidity and brings notes of mango and banana.
I would like to try this with Rosemary chicharones with a mango salsa.

ReplyDeleteGran Familia Rueda has a pale gold color and is dry. This wine has great fruit such as lychee, mangosteen, and golden raisin. The other note you get are mineral, spice and citrus. On the palate you get a medium acidity with flavors of fruit, mineral, and spice. This wine wines finishes clean, fresh , and short. This would pair nice with sushi or even fruit sushi.

ReplyDeleteThis red wine is a unique blend of classic grapes known within Portugal with international ones. The color is garnet with aromas of blackberries, currents, leather, oak, smoke, and spice. On the palette you will find vanilla, lavender, earth, berries, and leather as well. The tannins are medium as well as the acidity so it will not overwhelm the taste buds and the finish is medium to long. This wine could pair well with pan seared filet mignon or lamb with a demi-glaze.

ReplyDeleteThis wine is a crisp dry white sparkling wine. On the nose it there is a fair amount of lemon, green apple, grapefruit, yeast, and a slight mineral quality. On the palate it is crisp and refreshihg with high acidity and no tannin. There are flavors of lemon, grapefruit, and mineral. This wine would be great with Baked Haddock with light lemon butter sauce with a side of wide rice and asparagus.
